Meet Our Doctor

My name is Dr. Shazia Khattak! Feel free to call me Dr. K or Dr. Khattak in the office. I was born and raised just outside of Washington, DC and attended Marymount University for my undergraduate degree. I then went on to study dentistry at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. After graduating from dental school in 2016, I completed my General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeth's Hospital-Mercy Health in Youngstown, Ohio.

My husband, Dr. Travis Minzloff, and I moved to Albany five years ago when my husband matched into an emergency medicine residency program at Albany Medical Center. He is currently a physician at Glens Falls Hospital and at the VA Medical Center. During this busy time, I was an associate in dental offices in Herkimer and the Clifton Park area. I also continued my education as well and am an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

I am excited to be incorporating new 3D X-ray and scanning technology into the office for better restorative and surgical treatment. We hope to be able to do Clear Aligner therapy and implant placement at the office in the near future!  We are both excited to be working in the community. We both enjoy biking on the rail trail, visiting new restaurants, a great cup of coffee and skiing in the winter.  We hope to continue the tradition of maintaining a small town business and looking forward to getting to know each and everyone one of you!
